Parenthood ain???t never been easy – by Michael Joshua
If you thought having a child would give you someone that would make your life meaningful, HA! to you. Children are hard work, they don???t appreciate you until they become parents (and sometimes, not even then.) They need, need, need. From helping pull up their pants, to putting on their shoes when they???re WAY TOO OLD to need that help. But, you know, it won???t be so long until they not only won???t need or want your help, they won???t even want to be in the same room (city) with you. If you think 7 year olds are hard, wait until she???s 15 and knows everything. They don???t know what it means to be broke, at 7 or 15, and worse than that, they don???t really care. Just get whatever they want, NOW! They???re selfish and needy, that???s just how it is.
And to top it off, they???re like little mirrors and tape recorders. Everything you say and do bounces right back to you. That 4-letter word that you shouldn???t say around them will come back to you (out loud) at the most inappropriate time (like when you???re sitting in church.) That time you raised your voice, or even screamed at her because life???s pressures are too much, and she was the only one in your life that HAD to take it from you??? will come back to you when your 4 year old screams at you when things aren???t working out in their little world. Something as simple as the DVD not playing the show they thought it should – will become a screaming fit because that???s how he saw you handle things not working right. They observe and react the same ways you do.
Darn! No more tantrums for you (at least where they can hear it.) Unless, of course, you enjoy hearing their tantrums, because you get back what you give.
All in all, parenthood is the hardest thing you will ever live through. These young years, that you should be enjoying are just adding to all the things pulling at your life.

Step back, take a deep breath, know that it will get better. But they are not here to make you feel good about yourself. You are here to make them feel good about themselves. God has given you the greatest gift; He has trusted you with His creation. So, realize that pulling up their pants, helping put on their shoes, rubbing their belly when they don???t feel good???these are the good times of life. Take a couple minutes and play with her, watch that cartoon, and let the rest of life pass by. This time will be gone before you know it and you can???t get it back. Don???t let the everyday struggles that adults have to deal with become their problems. They can???t fix it, so don???t make them pay for it.
And cuddle, cuddle, cuddle! There???s nothing like a cuddle to make everything right in their world and yours! Soon, it won???t even be an option.

How does the body respond to training with weights vs. resistance bands? ??? By Michael Joshua
For a simple answer, you can tone up as much as you want with resistance bands. But you won???t build muscle in the same way that you will with free weights. It all sounds so easy, to use bands that provide resistance. The fact is ??? you can only generate so much resistance with these things. They do have their place, for sure. But nothing works alone. Add to any regimen ??? and that means a regular workout ??? a decent diet. You don???t necessarily have to count calories; you can watch caloric intake, fat intake, increase your protein intake, lower your carbohydrate intake ??? many options are available. The key is to pick one direction and stick with it while measuring your results.
If you???re serious about fitness strength training, you must get serious about weights. You???re never going to ???bulk up??? using resistance bands. You can get the ???cut??? look, if that???s what you want.
Fitness strength training is a process that begins with baby steps and progresses on from there. There are several principles involved. The most important is referred to as OVERLOAD.
1. You must stimulate the muscle more than it is used to.
2. The muscle being worked must continue to work against a gradually increasing resistance to meet overload.
3. Gains are dependent upon the muscle groups being worked and the particular exercise ???
a. Strength ??? higher weights, lower reps
b. Endurance ??? lower weights, higher reps
4. Regimen includes not only the times per week, but the program per incident of exercise:
a. Warm Up
b. Stretching
c. Workout
d. Cool Down
5. Manage your body during the workout with proper breathing techniques: exhale through the mouth while performing the work. You can experience drastic increases in blood pressure if you breathe incorrectly while lifting heavy weights.
The following exercises are generally included in any basic strength training program:
o Bench Press
o Lat Pulldown
o Overhead Press
o Bicep Curl
o Tricep Pulldown
o Squat
o Leg Extension
o Leg Curl
o Abdominal Crunch
You can find a description of the exercise and explanation on proper form on many internet sites. Doing an exercise improperly can hinder your progress more than help it. In addition to this, sometimes you can injure yourself! So it is important to remember, that performing an exercise the right way 5 times is better than 20 times the wrong way.
With resistance bands, your muscles respond by firming up, getting rid of that loose look and feel. With free weights, you build muscle.
Whatever your goal, watch your diet, exercise regularly, and monitor your progress. Staying on top of any exercise routine is critical in making a lifestyle change. To gain a benefit, it must become routine. If you want serious muscle mass, fitness strength training with free weights is the answer. If you simply want to look better in your swimsuit, resistance bands can do the trick!
